30 year Old Shepherd Recipes   Venture into the kitchens of the past if you dare by trying these old fashioned recipes of a bygone generation of Shepherd homemakers.

 

YUMMY LASAGNA  by  Patti Buchanan  -  1978

 

1 large jar Ragu sauce                   2 (8 oz.) pkg. Mozzarella

1 onion chopped                           1 large can Parmesan cheese

3 to 4 cloves garlic, chopped        1 (16 oz.) carton cottage cheese

1 to 1 ˝  lbs. ground beef             1 box lasagna noodles

 

     Cook lasagna by directions on package.  Brown ground beef.  When almost done, add garlic and onion.  Continue cooking until done.  Drain grease from meat.  Add sauce.  Cook approximately 10 minutes, until flavors blend.

     Line pasta in bottom of buttered casserole dish and layer in the following order:  pasta, cottage cheese, sauce, Parmesan cheese and Mozzarella cheese.  Repeat again, ending with Mozzarella.  Cover with foil and heat in 350 degree oven until cheese melts.
