TEXAS HUSH PUPPIES by Amelia Troha - 1978
2 cups corn meal 1 tsp. soda
˝ cup flour 1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt 1 egg beaten
6 tbsp. chopped onion 2 cups buttermilk
Mix all ingredients well. Drop by spoonful into hot oil. Cook until brown. This makes a lot.
