50 year Old Shepherd Recipes   Venture into the kitchens of the past if you dare by trying these old fashioned recipes of a bygone generation of Shepherd homemakers

 

ITALIAN SPAGHETTI  by  Marceline Williams – 1956

 

1 lb. hamburger meat                 1 tsp. chili powder

1 medium onion                         2 cans tomato sauce

˝ of small bell pepper               salt to taste

1 box of spaghetti

 

     Cook hamburger meat, onions, and bell pepper until it is done.  Add chili powder and 1 can tomato sauce.  Turn heat down low and let simmer.  Have spaghetti boiling in another pan;  when done, pour into the hamburger mixture and add the other can of tomato sauce.  Mix well and serve while hot.
