50 year Old Shepherd Recipes   Venture into the kitchens of the past if you dare by trying these old fashioned recipes of a bygone generation of Shepherd homemakers.

 

PRESSED CHICKEN  by   Mrs. H. H. Neill  -  1956

 

     Grind the cooked meat of 1 hen, leaving out black parts such as liver and gizzard.  Add:

 

2 Tbsp. gelatin dissolved                 3 boiled eggs

   in 1 cup chicken broth                  3 medium size apples

1 cup fresh chopped celery             1 cup nut meats

 

     Mix with good mayonnaise.  Mold in pan or bowl.
