50 year Old Shepherd Recipes   Venture into the kitchens of the past if you dare by trying these old fashioned recipes of a bygone generation of Shepherd homemakers

 

MEAT LOAF – by Mrs. Amelia Troha

 

1 lb. ground beef                     1 tsp. chili powder

½ lb. ground pork                    1 medium onion, chopped

1 egg                                        3 slices bread

1 tsp. salt                                 ¼ cup milk

 

   Soak bread slices in milk.  Add meat, egg, and seasoning and mix thoroughly.  Shape into loaf.  Bake in medium oven, 350 deg. for 1 hour.
