LIGHT BREAD by Allien Troha - 1956
1 cup shortening 1 ½ tsp. salt
1 cup boiling water 2 yeast cakes
¾ cup sugar 2 eggs
1 cup lukewarm water 7 cups flour
Dissolve sugar and shortening in boiling water. Put yeast cakes in lukewarm water. Mix beaten eggs and salt to sugar and shortening mixture. When cooled, add yeast water, then beat in flour. Let rise about 1 hour. Knead and make into loaves or rolls. Let rise again until double in size.
