50 year Old Shepherd Recipes   Venture into the kitchens of the past if you dare by trying these old fashioned recipes of a bygone generation of Shepherd homemakers

 

COLD PACK DILL PICKLES  by  Mrs. Milo Shirley – 1956

 

2 cups vinegar

1 cup water

˝ cup (scant) salt

 

   Wash and dry cucumbers.  Pack in jars with good size piece of dill and cover with above mixture cold until cucumbers are entirely covered.  Seal and put away for about 8 weeks.
