50 year Old Shepherd Recipes   Venture into the kitchens of the past if you dare by trying these old fashioned recipes of a bygone generation of Shepherd homemakers.

 

CRAB DIP  -  by Dollie Tribe – 1961

 

1 – 71/2 can crab meat                      ˝ tsp. pepper

2/3 cup commercial sour cream       2 Tbsp. Italian dressing

2 tsp. horseradish                             pumpernickel

 

     Day before:  Drain crab meat well.  Add crab meat to sour cream with horseradish, pepper, and Italian dressing; toss, refrigerate.

 

     To serve:  Place crab dip in small bowl surrounded by tiny squares of pumpernickel.  Spread on crackers, sandwiches, or lettuce.  Makes about 2 cups.
