BEEF STEW  by   Mrs. Royce Howard - 1956

 

3 lb. beef cubes                     3 Tbsp. fat

¼ cup flour                            salt & pepper

3 large onions                        2 potatoes

5 small carrots                       1 cup water

 

   Dredge beef with flour and seasonings.  Brown well with ½ cup chopped onion.  Add water and cover.  Simmer 2 to 3 hours until meat is tender.  Add vegetables.  Cook until

done.
